Senior QHSE Manager

As part of our exciting expansion with the addition of new production lines to increase our capacity and broaden our product range, Ecofrost, located in Peruwelz, is currently looking for a highly qualified and motivated QSHE Manager to join our dynamic team. In this key role, you will be responsible for overseeing all types of quality, safety, hygiene and environmental audits for the 2 plants, Ecofrost Belgium and Ecofrost France.


You will be responsible for

Quality point of view 

  • Methodically analyze audit results and quality problems, and work with colleagues to identify and follow up on actions and avenues for improvement.
  • Follow-up and update HACCP risk analysis
  • Ensures regulatory monitoring, communication and adaptation of the quality system to changes in standards and certification guidelines. 
  • Draft and implement quality procedures and control tools. 
  • Monitor the quality system in place by organizing quality meetings, setting up measures and indicators, and organizing internal audits.
  • Manage audits, take corrective action and identify areas for improvement.
  • Maintain and guarantee the quality management system.

Safety and environment:

  • You will participate in various projects linked to culture change and implement continuous improvements.
  • You will act as a back-up for the HSE manager, with the aim of taking on increasing responsibility for this position.
  • You will assist in the implementation of ISO 14001, while ensuring the relevance of systems already in place in the quality department.

Management point of view:

  • Propose management guidelines in the fields of quality, safety and the environment.
  • Communicate and share the Quality Safety Environment policy within the various departments and assist the management team in its implementation
  • Participate in the development of a quality, safety and environment culture
  • Design tools, methods and procedures to help achieve quality, safety and environmental objectives, and monitor indicators.
  • Implement QHSE procedures in collaboration with department managers
  • Manage quality, safety and environmental indicators within the department.
  • Monitor and report on KPIs on a weekly basis
  • Monitor progress of QHSE action plan, check results
  • Analyze results, identify trends, present results to various interested parties, suggest actions or avenues for improvement, plan and monitor actions.
  • Prepare management reviews
  • Carry out continuous improvement projects (definition of needs, safety, profitability calculations, commissioning, training, etc.)
  • Put together the ISO and BRC / IFS documentation system by analyzing process maps. 
  • Maintain quality, safety and environmental certifications. 

Profile :

  • Master's degree in management / quality safety
  • Minimum level 2 prevention consultant certificate (not compulsory)
  • 5 years' experience in an industrial context is an asset for the implementation of projects. 
  • You are rigorous and pay great attention to detail
  • You are curious and eager to learn on the one hand, and to share your experience on the other
  • You enjoy working on both technical and change management issues. Autonomous and dynamic, you're keen to take on new challenges and see problems through to the end, with the necessary follow-up.
  • You have an operational command of English.
